Spike in Homeless Deaths Prompts Vigil and Protest

Baltimore, MD- Upon release of the statistics for 2016, it has been found that the rates of death among Baltimore’s homeless population have increased 370% over the previous average.  Most were found within three blocks of City Hall, prompting a small protest and a much larger vigil, both advocating for better care of the city’s most downtrodden residents.  City officials are discussing plans for reducing this number in 2017.
