Heist at the British Museum

London- A collection of artifacts, including ancient Egyptian and Roman objects, have been burgled from the British Museum, reports Amy Smollett, assistant department conservator. The extent of the theft remains to be determined- museum staff are still working on creating a registry of the lost works of art. It is feared that the items will be put up for sale on the black market- major auction houses have already been notified of the known missing pieces, and holds have been placed on the sale of all similar items for the next six months.
